I've registered myself as a trade person for the ECTS trade show thingy. I'm not sure if my social engineering skills are up to talking my way into the conference but damn it, I'm going to try. The way I see it, if I get into the show then great, I get to play video games all day and meet developers - but no one from Nintendo the backstabbing goits that pulled out in the last minute like so many teenage liars (if you don't get that one then consider yourself lucky) - if I don't, then great I get to play video games all day.
This week I have been mostly playing Enemy Territory (it's free, go download it). To say that I suck at this game doesn't do me justice. No, justice would be to take me out in the back and shoot me. In the balls. Repeatedly. I suck so bad that I'm like a really ... bad ... Hoover - or similarly lame pun. I'm bad. So if you play then come over to Vamegh's and Vahid's server and give me a good beating. It's the server near the top called "ET-Linux". I'll be the one being used as a mop to clean my own blood off the walls.
But it's not all fun and games. Sometimes it's just games sans-fun, like that crock of crap I picked up called The Sims, you may be familiar with it? I understand that this is a popular game, but I also understand that Windows is a popular OS. Can we talk? I mean I feel that I know you well enough to give advice and crap, you know? WTF is up with The Sims? A game where you go to work, pay bills, clean the house, fix the kitchen sink and perform a multitude of other choirs you've switched on your GC to escape from? Sounds fantastic! Hey why don't we have "Sim Walking to the Freaking Shop"? Or better still; "Sim Living In Your Parents Basement Playing Computer Games to Escape From Your Dateless Life ... dot com"? I'm not saying this game was a bad idea, I'm just saying, you know, stay away if you want to keep your brain not on fire. Coz in my general experience, brain fires lead to discomfort, and possibly death in some cases.
While we're talking about stupid, why don't you guys check out the latest (episode of?) Puffpuff? This last guy was a genius. If genius meant idiot. And idiot meant freaking retard.
