16.04.03 - spam
It occurred to me as I was deleting the 4 billionth piece of spam from my mailbox at work, that it would be rather funny to actually reply to one of those "Please help me friend, I need to transfer a stupid amount of money to your account because my bank hates me and I live in Gwapnik which the oppressive dictator known as El Rulo controls with an iron buttock, all I need is your bank details and your wife". You know the kind.
So anyway I was about to send an over excited mail from Cyrus Khan, alter ego of splinter khan, alter ego of err, me, but you know what? Hotmail informed me that the users account was over quota.
This has two possible implications;
(a) There are good people out there who spam spammers addresses into oblivion in an effort to shut them down (even if it's just until they get a new address).
(b) There are a lot of stupid people.
In my fantasy world of make believe where Bill Gates isn't in league with Bealzibub and Hitler was "just misunderstood", I like to believe the first possibility is true and the second a ridiculous idea brought about by drinking too much pee pee.
See? I can do short posts too. ... well okay I'm at work and am supposed to be doing something, I dunno, else.
